| We Believe
Love - Love is the reason we
believe, for God is love and for that reason God sent his Son
to redeem mankind back to Himself; therefore the believer
should seek to walk in that same love. (John 3:16,15:9-13,
17:22-26; 1 John 3:1, 4:7– 21; Romans 5:5 )
The Scriptures - The Bible is
the inspired Word of God, the product of holy men of old who
spoke and wrote as they were moved by the Holy Spirit; that
the Old and New Testament are infallible guides in matters
pertaining to faith, conduct and doctrine. (2 Tim. 3: 5 -
17; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Peter 1:21)
The One True God - The Lord
Our God is one God which exists in three persons: the Father,
the Son, and the Holy Spirit: being coequal and coeternal,
being distinguishable but indivisible. ( Deut. 6:4; Mark
12:29; Matthew 28:19; Phil. 2:6; John 1:1,14,18, 14:16,26;I
John 5:7)
The Virgin Birth - Jesus was
conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, fully
God, fully man, died on the cross and was raised from the dead
three days later.( Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:18-25)
The Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ
- The Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, the 2nd
member of the Godhead, who pre-existed with the Father and the
Holy Spirit. Through the Incarnation and the Virgin Birth,
Jesus took upon himself the form of man, thus revealing
himself to mankind. Jesus Christ was sinless, perfect,
crucified, buried, resurrected, ascended, glorified and He
will come again to the earth a second time. He is the perfect
mediator between God and man because in the person of Christ
is the fully divine and the fully human. He is of the same
substance with The Father as to His divinity , yet of the same
substance with us as to His humanity, perfect in deity,
perfect in humanity (Colossians 1:15-19; Philippians 2:5-8; 1
Timothy 2:5-6; John 1:1-3, 14-18 ; 17:5; 1 Thessalonians
4:16-18 )
Man, His Fall and Redemption -
Man was created by God. He was good and upright, but through
the transgression of Adam sin came into the world, thereby
separating man from God; therefore the only hope of redemption
for mankind is in Jesus Christ (Gen. 1:26-31, 3:1-7; Rom.
3:10,23, 5:12-21; 1 John
3:8)
The Salvation of Man -
Salvation is by grace through faith and repentance, heart
belief, and confession with the mouth that Jesus died and was
raised from the dead; which results in the new birth or being
born again (Eph. 2:8,9; Titus 2:11,3:5-7; Acts 2:38, 3:19;
Matt. 4:17; Luke 24:47; Romans 10:8-13; John 3:3-5, 14-18; 2
Corinthians 5:17)
Repentance - Repentance is one
of the foundational principles of the doctrines of Christ. The
work of repentance validates the believers confession of faith
in the Lordship of Jesus Christ. It is the process in which
the believer receives the remission of their sins through the
shed blood of Jesus Christ. (Hebrews 6:2; Mark 1:15; Luke
5:32, 24:47; Acts 2:38, 20:21, 26:20; 2 Corinthians 7:9-10;
Rev 1:5; Romans 3:25; Hebrews 9:22; 1 Peter 1:18-19)
Water Baptism - Water baptism is a direct
commandment from the Lord. It is for believers who have
repented of their sins and believed on the Lord Jesus Christ
for their salvation. In doing so, they declare to the world
that they have died with Jesus and that they have also been
raised with Him to walk in newness of life. (Matt. 28:19; Mark
16:16; Rom. 6:3-5; Colossians 2:12, 3:1; Acts 8:36-39)
Communion - Communion is a
direct commandment from the Lord. (1 Corinthians
11:17-30; Luke 22:7-30)
The Baptism of The Holy Spirit
- It is a gift from God as promised by Jesus to all believers
and is received subsequent to the new birth (Matt’ 3:11; Mark
16:17; Luke 24:49; Acts 1:5-8, 2:1-4,38,39, 8:14-15, 19:2-6)
Laying on of hands - It
is one of the foundational principles of the doctrines of
Christ. (Hebrews 6:1-2; Mark 16:18, 5:2-22,35-42, 6:5-6
7:32-35 8:22-25; Acts 5:12, 8:17, 13:2-3, 19:6, 28:8-9; 1
Timothy 4:14, 5:22; Deuteronomy 34:9; Exodus 29:10,15,19)
Divine Healing - Divine
healing as been provided for every person in the sacrifice of
Jesus. (Isaiah 53:3,4; Matt. 8:17; Mark 16:18; 1 Peter 2;24
Deuteronomy 7:15; Exodus 15;26; James 5:13-16; 1 John 3:2)
Sanctification -
Sanctification is the work of the Holy Spirit in the
believer’s life that sets him apart to live a holy life.
(Hebrews 12:14; 1 Peter 1:14-16; 1 Thessalonians 4:1-8,
5:22,23; 1 Corinthians 1:30)
Hell and the Eternal Judgment
- Hell is a literal place where those whose name is not write
in the book of life shall spend eternity. (Revelation 19:20,
20:11-15; Luke 16:19-26; Hebrews 6:2)
